You may remember these little guys at 3-months corrected (that is to say, 3 months after their due date). Here they are again – could those faces be any cuter?

My Girlie at Westmoor Park

September 15, 2009

We go to Westmoor fairly often, and I enrolled both kids in their Puddle Jumpers camp program this summer. One day we played with a friend’s parasol, which is not a prop brought for the photo but an actual sunshade used to share herself and her fair baby.

I got a private concert last night; it’s one of the hidden benefits of photographing musical seniors. This young woman is fantastic, and not just as a musician. She’s one of those super people. You know the sort – extraordinarily talented in diverse fields, gorgeous and nice to boot.

Thanks for letting me drag you around last night – you were a great sport, are truly lovely and have a stunning smile!

One of the great things about doing on-location portraits rather than studio shots is the opportunity to get dramatic lighting, courtesy of the sun. (Of course, there ARE the bugs, and the possibility of rain…)

This child is my secret triplet. One month younger than my pair, when they were about 18 months she and my daughter were very similar in experience. Twice people asked if they were triplets, and only once were they randomly all wearing the same sweater (her mother and I shop at the same stores.)

They were triplets. Then they all grew hair.

Toddlers are so much fun – everything is interesting to them and everything is wonderful. I have so many laughing images of this little guy ~ he was a bundle of giggles! Just looking at all his smiles makes me smile too. Have I mentioned before that I have the best job?

Thank you for letting me come out and follow your cutie around!

Twinny Tuesday

September 1, 2009

Yesterday morning I resorted to bribery. Well, actually I’ve been resorting to bribery a lot lately as we are in the midst of “OK, I’ve had it. This time you’re really potty training even if I have to give you candy every time you use the toilet.” This has been working splendidly – will pee for chocolate — but I worry that at their 3-year well child visit on Wednesday the doctor will ask how much junk food they get. However, yesterday morning I resorted to picture bribery, as in “cooperate with Mama and we’ll go to Starbucks after the shoot and you can have a treat.” I confess, I also wanted a coffee slushy so my motives were mixed but in no way ideal. The bribery worked.

Last time I shared, it was only the girl child who cooperated. This time I got the boy.
