I got to shoot a family last weekend and we had a blast. The mama is just about due to have baby number 2 and was a trooper about “walk here”, “sit there” and (believe it or not) “lie down over here.” And the girlie was ADORABLE. She is in my son’s preschool class so I became “James’ Mommy” by title. We did decide that when I do her newborn shoot (and a newborn shoot is included in all maternity shoots as long as we can do it within two weeks of birth) Dad is going to have to take Big Sister out of the house for a bit or we’ll never get the baby to sleep!

Thank you for letting me record this special moment in your life. I’ll give you a call when all the pictures are up and ready later this week.

These urban maternity shoot are such fun. This was a dreary, rainy day but this gorgeous model – and she’s on baby number three without a stretch mark in sight – was bright and cheerful. Thank you for letting me photograph your beautiful belly! I hope I get to meet the little one soon!

This gorgeous woman, who is 38 1/2 weeks pregnant in these shots, was an unbelievable trooper. I hauled her all over West Hartford Center – in high heeled boot no less – and she was game for anything.

I love all your images! Thank you for letting me capture this time for you. I can’t wait to meet the little guy when he makes his ex-utero appearance!

I wanted to do Bradley classes but there were none available when I was pregnant. I slip coupons for $50 off session fees in Erica Grossman’s Bradley classes goodie bags and am letting you all know about her classes because I wish she had been doing this when I was knocked up and even if I didn’t benefit from it there’s no reason you can’t.

We are planning another series of classes to the first week in June, for mamas who are due in August/September

The Bradley Method is a series of twelve classes, held weekly, that help prepare you and your husband/partner for labor and birth without the use of drugs and with the goal of avoiding as much medical intervention as possible. The classes include education on good nutrition during pregnancy, exercises to prepare the mother for the marathon of labor, anatomy and physiology of labor, coping techniques for labor, good coaching tips for the partner, ways to avoid drugs and interventions, breastfeeding information and postpartum care. The aim of the classes is to make the mother comfortable and trust in her body so she can tune-in to her body through labor and use natural breathing and relaxation to work through the labor without the use of drugs.

The classes are ideal for families planning home OR hospital births; first, second or beyond!

Each class runs approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Classes are held in our home in Manchester, and we limit class size to ensure plenty of time for personal discussion.

Contact her if you are interested in attending her classes!
