It’s easy, it’s modern and the aesthetic is what people are used to because, after all, a whole lot of people have a pretty good digital camera of their own. Ah, but film. Oh, the beauty of film. Film – and I, unsurprisingly, work exclusively with black and white film – is a whole other, beautiful, creature. Is it better? It’s different.

In order to make you love it too (and you really should, you know) I’m going to offer four complimentary film-only mini-sessions, one per month, through the end of 2010. There are a handful of conditions. I have to have the time available, you have to be a returning client and there is a $500 minimum purchase when you order from the session. Modeling job does not pay but you get a free mini portrait session and 1 8X10 print of your choice from the session. Fresh Faces shoot must be scheduled on a weekday morning and will run for about 30 minutes between 9 and 11AM. All shoots are done in either Blue Back Square, West Hartford Center or Westmoor Park. I will either choose or offer you a choice based on what I need.

Oy! Web design is not the most fun thing to do when one child is vomiting and the other is engaging in jealous, attention-seeking behaviors. Actually, I’m not sure designing a photography portrait web site is EVER fun, even if you didn’t throw sick kids into the mix.

Miss Sickie seems better now, and 1 bowl of soup later shows no signs of regurgitation. Fingers crossed it remains so.

Meanwhile, I wanted to give a heads up to current clients who didn’t get the newsletter. Wait – you aren’t subscribed? Go subscribe to it now. Right now. I’ll wait for you to come back.

There. See, that didn’t take long. The next newsletter will go out sometime in March. Maybe April. In theory once a month seems good, but then things get busy.

In the last email newsletter – that one you didn’t read – there was, well, news about free sessions I am offering in April. Go sign up for one of 10 mini-session slots on April 10th. Well, there are fewer now. There is a $100 deposit to reserve your time which is non-refundable if you cannot make it but which can be applied in full to your print order. You CAN do on location portraiture in the winter months! Brave the cold in January or February for a regular session in the greater Hartford area and get a $150 print credit towards your order. In March get a $100 print credit.
