Commissioned Portraits by Stacie Turner Photography
Portrait sessions are an investment. You are commissioning someone to create images of your family that should last a lifetime.

Before you book any portrait photographer you should make certain you like her style of imagery and are comfortable working with her; this is a relationship that will last months as we plan your session, shoot your images, as you view the retouched proofs, make your final selections and, finally, hang your portraits. I take only a very limited number of portrait commissions each year so I can bring the same creative energy to clients that I do to fine art work.

It takes approximately 20 business days from the date of your shoot for your gallery to be ready for viewing. Each image is developed, the negatives of film work are scanned at a very high resolution and then all the images are meticulously digitally retouched.

We live in a digital age and most people who work with me order a digital package. However, digital images alone are not good enough to preserve your family images for generations to come. Your great grand-children should be able to look at a hand crafted physical print of these images.

I set aside 1-2 days in the spring and fall for mini sessions. These shorter sessions are designed for people who only want a few images from which to choose and are ideal for people seeking images for holiday cards and gifts.

Please contact me if you would like to talk about commissioning a portrait.
