I met this sweetie at the Connecticut La Leche League conference last weekend. She is only 3 weeks (adjusted) and closed her eyes for a little snooze on my bean bag despite all the hustle around her. Don’t you just want to kiss her all over her adorable little face? I have the best job in the world – I get to take pictures of babies and their beautiful mothers.

I spent the weekend at the Connecticut La Leche League conference taking pictures and selling my breastfeeding picture book and shot a bunch of gorgeous women and children. The conference was fabulous but exhausting; I got to see many old friends and make many new ones. This particular cutie is an old favorite of mine; I shot her when she was an itty bitty thing and I simply cannot believe she is not a newborn anymore.

Well, I’d hoped to have it ready by January but you know how life is with toddler twins. BUT, the breastfeeding picture book is now ready. It is 12 “sides” (meaning 6 pages including the cover) and a board book ready for the determined hands of the youngest readers. It’s also, all modesty aside, gorgeous. This is mostly because of the absurdly beautiful models I wrangled (their mothers were pretty attractive too…)

You can order the book online HERE.

I remember when this little one was a REALLY little one, still wet with miracle. Today she was wet with the water from her Starbucks cup and here she is in outfit number two.

She was SUPPOSED to nurse for me so I could get a “candid” nursing-in-public shot for the last page of my breastfeeding book (which, I swear, will be done any day now, certainly in time for the La Leche League of CT conference) but with an independence of mind that will serve her well in life decided that, no, maybe nursing wasn’t her favorite thing to do today.
